Trusting in Him
Hey everybody! Ever have those years that absolutely just fly by? That’s what my 2023 has been. I can't believe it's already September! Our last Global Year team is going to be coming in October, so this month has been packed full of prepping and planing for another jam packed gap year team. Each team brings such a roller coaster of emotions, challenges and growth; but I’m so excited for this next team that’s coming. I know that the Lord completely changed my life on my gap year, so I’m praying for this team that they see all that the Lord is gonna do in and through them during this period. Please be praying for them and us as well that we’ll be open to what God wants to do!
The discipleship groups are still going well! It’s amazing to see the people that we meet with see and even carry out the vision that God has given us. That vision being that it’s not just the foreigners to be in the community sharing the gospel and discipling people but the Guatemalans as well. Our goal is to be disciples that make disciples that make disciples until there is no place left that’s without the gospel. One of the people that goes out with us is Lucia. She started off just being someone that we met in the community. Through her being discipled by some people on our team she’s completely caught the vision and now is just as eager to do what we’re doing as we are. There are even other missionaries who have come to us and asked for the same training that we ourselves received so that they can use it in their own lives and ministries.
The coffee shop is also doing well. We’re still only opened on Sundays, but now we’re working towards phase two in opening during the week!
One thing that I’d ask is that you pray for me in this season in trusting in God’s provision. A lesson that he’s been teaching me recently is that he’s called me to this ministry and that he will provide for it every step of the way. I can trust that he knows what he’s doing, and I don’t have to be consumed by worry.
