Oh the way the Lord works
Wow! What a month April has been. I Finally got the espresso machine, and let me tell you! It was such a long, convoluted process of finding one, but it was worth it in the end! I didnt even end up getting the one that I’d mentioned last time because it ended up getting sold to someone else before I’d had the chance to make an offer. Luckily, through the help of good friends, I was able to find the perfect machine! I just wanted to say thank you so much to every person who so generously donated towards the purchasing of the machine. There are also now steps in place to make the building look amazing. The doors and windows have been painted and tile has been put in the downstairs. I also wanted to say thank you so much to Richard and Lauree and the Church who provided the means for all of that to be done!
So far, the question that I've been asked the most is when we’ll be opening. The short answer is when all the preparation is finished. We don't have an estimated date yet, but there's still a few more things that we need to do. The biggest one being that we have to completely remodel the terrace into a comfortable out door seating area. We also have to get all of the furniture necessary, and replace the light fixtures. Currently, the lights are in progress, but before we open to the public, we’re planning on having a soft open where we’ll be serving coffee on sundays before and after church service. So far, we’re getting very close to reaching that point!
On another note, the harvest have been very fruitful! One family that we had met a few weeks ago ended up opening their home to us to train them in the discipleship material that we use. There were four people that this training was focused on, one young woman we met and three people she had invited. Part of this training answers the questions of why we share the gospel, who we share with, what we share, and when we share it. Well, halfway through this training, we felt strongly that there were people that didn't have relationships with Christ, so we decided to split off into smaller groups and shared the gospel with the individuals and three of them ended up receiving christ! It was such a beautiful moment that I was blessed to be a part of!
Sadly, the Global year students leave in just one week, which means we’re losing workers for the harvest. Please pray for us in this transition that the Lord will send more people that have to same heart for discipleship that we do. If you want to learn more about the Harvest you can read more about that on my website or you can reach out to me personally via email.
As always, that you so much for taking the time to read this, and thank you so much to those that partner with me in ministry financially. With out y'all, absolutely none of this would be possible!
